Summit Station, Greenland – June 12, 2019

Summit Station, Day 9 (6/12/2019):

Today started off with a bit of maintenance on the drill to try and improve the performance. After that, we were off and running again. We managed to collect another 12 cores and hit a depth of 104 meters! We can still go a few more meters with the length of cable that we have so we plan on using the next few days and the last few meters of depth to experiment with parameters and evaluate various drilling techniques. After that, we begin preparations for the integration of JPL’s WATSON instrumentation.
