The science team has arrived! Today we welcome Bill Abbey (JPL), Ken Manatt (JPL), John Priscu (Montana State U.) and of course, WATSON. They will be taking a day for orientation and acclimation and then we get to work integrating and testing the instrument. On another (sad) note, we say goodbye to half of the Honeybee team as Kris and Gale head back to Pasadena this weekend. We thank them for all of their support and wish them safe travels returning home.
About the Exploration Technology GroupHoneybee Robotics Exploration Technology Group engineers and builds terrestrial and extraterrestrial drilling, excavation, and geotechnical systems, as well as sample acquisition, transfer and processing technologies. Because these systems are autonomous, smart, low power, light-weight, and low-mass, they have application not only in space, but here on earth in mining and petroleum applications.
